Furniture friends was founded in 2012 with the belief that every person deserves a home that is safe and comfortable.

Furniture friends. Thank you for your generosity. Furniture friends is a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization that provides donated furniture to people in need throughout great portland. Furniture friends has been helping internationals get settled in for over 15 years.

With ongoing support from the community we are able to fulfill our mission of creating homes. Our experience has shown us that this safety and comfort is not equally accessible to all people in our community and that black indigenous and people of color experience poverty at much higher rates than their white neighbors. As of this writing our furniture is being used rent free in over 200 international homes.

On rare occasions we may sell a high value item to assist in meeting organizational needs.
